A mixed extrusion package, planned by release.

Flynn placed an order to fabricate multiple customer-supplied extrusion sections. Stock requirements and staged releases are being planned across the part package.

A shop-bulk package brings several extrusion sections and part quantities into one release plan. Flynn placed a fabrication order with Canadian Metal Fabricators for the QEII hospital tower package in November 2026.

The starting point

Flynn supplies the extrusion stock in the required finish. The fabrication package is defined by its part drawings and quantity schedule, with several different extrusion sections to coordinate.

The work to prepare

The order calls for fabrication of the supplied extrusions to the part package. The initial handoff includes stock counts by extrusion section and available stock length, with material becoming available in stages.

The release plan

The first requested release includes a portion of each part type. Planning therefore needs to consider the mix of parts as well as the total quantity. As of November 5, 2026, this is an ordered package in release planning; completed fabrication and delivery are not yet reported here.

Planning the package

  1. 01

    Map the stock

Match each extrusion section to the available stock lengths.

  2. 02

    Define the parts

Use the released drawings and quantities to define the fabrication scope.

  3. 03

    Sequence the batches

Plan the required mix of parts around stock availability and requested releases.
